Adrian was the producer on a new two-part documentary series by KITE ENTERTAINMENT, where actor MIRIAM MARGOLYES and Senator LYNN RUANE hit the road in a camper van, telling the story of one of Ireland’s great writers and co-founder of the Abbey Theatre, in LADY GREGORY: IRELAND’S FIRST SOCIAL INFLUENCER. A Kite production for RTÉ and the BAI, the series is directed by Anna Rodgers, edited and written by Brenda Morrissey and filmed by Matthew Kirrane, with top Exec Producer’s Darren Smith, John Ingram, Maria Horgan and RTE’s Exec Aifric Ní Chianáin. With LG expert James Pethica as the go to man throughout.
It was a special experience spending nearly two weeks on the road with Miriam and Lynn. Never dull!!. Aside from hanging out on the highways and byways in the camper van, some of the highlights were filming on the beautiful Inis Oirr, on the Aran Islands, and meeting Shivaun O’Casey (Sean’s daughter) in Dublin’s East Wall. We were also lucky enough to stay in Augusta Gregory’s holiday home in the wonderful Mount Vernon in Flaggy Shore, County Clare.
It’s going out on RTE One at 10.15 on Thursday 9th and Thursday 16th February 2023.
